Sunshine Lanes and its sister center, Enterprise Park Lanes, are locally owned and operated by the Wiemer family of Springfield, MO. Roger Wiemer, a lifelong bowler who started out as a pin boy in his youth, and his wife, Norma, entered into the bowling business in April of 1971 when they purchased Cherokee Lanes. They owned and operated Cherokee until they built Enterprise Park Lanes in 1990. In 1993, the couple purchased Shermlollar Lanes, and renamed the center Sunshine Lanes. One of the couple's children, Steve, has since become Proprietor of both centers. Roger passed in late 2010 and is greatly missed by the bowling community, but you can still find Norma around, working behind the scenes and ensuring the centers are spic, span, and on top of things!
